Tartakovsky Clone Wars Figures

The original Clone Wars TV show by Genndy Tartakovsky premiered on November 7, 2003 in 3 minute short episodes on the Cartoon Network. The entire series had three seasons and ran through March 25th 2005.

The cartoon introduced us to Commander Cody and General Grievous, showed us how Anakin became a Jedi Knight, and how Chancellor Palpatine was kidnapped right before Episode III. The show also gave us cool characters like Asajj Ventress and ARC Troopers, and it introduced us to the phase II clone helmet style. It also showed our heroes in cool outfits such as Padmé in "Snowbunny" outfit or Obi-Wan in Clone Trooper armor.

Tartakovsky Clone Wars Series

Hasbro released a very limited number (20 figures total) of animated style Clone Wars figures based on this micro series, which was clearly aimed at younger kids. The figures featured very few joints, and were made out of stronger plastic. The toy line started in late 2003 and concluded in Winter 2005.

Despite the toy line being aimed at children, it's also a very attractive line to collect. The figures have a very unique, cartoony look, and with only 20 figures produced, it's possible to collect them all.

Hasbro did a decent job and released characters which were heavily featured in the tv show, but unfortunately, they never produced figures of Padmé, Palpatine, C-3PO and R2-D2 to round out the collection. Below is a complete list of figures with links to their individual reviews and more pictures.
