This Naboo Royal Guard was released in November 1999, which makes it close to 10 years old at the time of this review. The figure came with a removable helmet and a blaster.
The helmet looks nicely detailed and fits very well over the guard's head, and the blaster can be held tightly by the guard's right hand. The left hand is molded upward, and when both arms are positioned forward, it looks
as if the figure is aiming at something, which is quite cool. The Naboo Royal Guard has a pre-defined leg stance, and since there are no joints in his knees or ankles, you can't re-adjust it. The paint application
is very basic, but does it's job. It's a decent figure, but there is plenty left to be improved upon. But, considering that Hasbro has only released a few Star Wars figures from Amidala's entourage, it's a welcome addition to
the Naboo army or any Naboo diorama.
Their freedom threatened by the invading Trade Federation army, the Naboo Royal Security were forced to go underground before readying their defense. With help from the Jedi, they emerged to take back their beloved capital city of Theed.
