Hasbro released a ton of information today during their Hasbro Pulse Fan Fest 2021! The fan favorite 3.75" Star Wars: The Vintage Collection will see the addition of the Gaming Greats sub-line, which includes Star Wars figures from video games. Unfortunately for this line of figures we see a $2 price increase from $12.99 to $14.99. This line of figures is not exclusive to GameStop, here are the four figures announced:
Star Wars: The Vintage Collection will also see the re-release of some older fan favorites, including Luke Skywalker (Hoth) from the Empire Strikes Back and three figures from The Return Of The Jedi with Han Solo (Trenchcoat), the Emperor's Royal Guard and Admiral Ackbar. The human characters will get the photo real face printing treatment, along with slight paint refinements on their outfits. Luke Skywalker for example will get warmer colored gloves and boots while Han Solo will get a more accurate look for his trenchcoat. All four figures are already available for pre-order through Entertainment Earth (links on top of this page).
This biggest surprise was the announcement of the Vintage Collection Antoc Merrick's X-Wing Fighter from Star Wars: Rogue One! The X-Wing Fighter will come with an exclusive 3.75" figure of Antoc Merrick, which will be single carded inside the box. What the X-Wing Fighter and Antoc Merrick look like in the packaging wasn't shown and will be revealed at a later time. The detailing and the weathered wash on the X-Wing Fighter, and the Antoc Merrick figure, look outstanding! This vehicle will be Target exclusive in the United States and cost $99.99, it hasn't gone up for pre-order yet. In Canada it will be exclusive to Toys'R'Us but a price was not announced.
For Star Wars: The Black Series Hasbro showed prototypes of previously announced pipeline figures, which included Lando Calrissian (General) from Return Of The Jedi, Bounty Hunter droid Q9-0 from the Mandalorian, Koska Reeves from the Mandalorian, Crosshair from the Bad Batch animated show on Disney+ and Aurra Sing (in Clone Wars packaging). Unfortunately the press release shows an increase in retail price from $19.99 to $22.99 for each figure.
During the livestream it was mentioned that the SKU for The Vintage Collection Specialty waves is going to change. Originally this line of repacks was never intended for the north American market, this will change come Fall 2021. The team also threw the question out what this new line of Black Series 6" figures should be referred to. Previously we had the blue, orange and red/black boxes, but it's unclear what the line since Fall 2020 should be referred to. The team will give an update in a future live stream. The Black Series Wedge Antilles role playing helmet revealed the orange color tone for anything Black Series related to A New Hope. So far Hasbro has yet to release any Black Series figures from A New Hope, and fans were speculating what color might be used, and now we know that it'll be orange.
Like mentioned further up, the msrp for some Vintage Collection and Black Series figures will increase by $2, this includes the TVC Gaming Greats and The Black Series figures shown today. It was also hinted at more Rogue One figures for later in the year.
That's it for Hasbro Pulse Fan Fest 2021 and Star Wars! Thank you to Hasbro for having JediBusiness.com being part of the livestream!
