Garven Dreis "Red Leader" was released in 2009 as part of the "Scramble On Yavin" Battlepack. The character was seen without the helmet on when Biggs Darklighter introduces Luke Skywalker to him before the fighters were being boarded in the hangar. The paint application on the figure is spotless, especially in the facial regions. The figure has 14 joints, and it can stand safely without tipping over. The blaster sits a bit loose in his hands, so you might want to consider keeping the little plastic band in place that attaches it to his right hand. Hasbro included most of the details of the pilot suit, like the food capsules held in place on the left upper arm or Red Leader's specific markings on his helmet. There are a few inaccuracies though, one being Garven Dreis' height. He is quite a bit taller than Luke in the actual movie, and parts of his chest computer need to be painted black instead of gray. His hair has also a lot more volume and appears to be more grayish than all brown. But these are minor annoyances, and chances are, if you don't watch that actual movie scene specifically, you'll never notice these details. Overall, this Garven Dreis is super articulated with a great head sculpt and a cool and accurate looking helmet, and it'll make a great addition to your Rebel Pilots!

In their base on Yavin, the Rebel Alliance prepares to launch a direct assault upon the Empire. The busy ground crew checks the vehicles, makes repairs and adjustments, loads droids into the fighters' sockets, and shuttles equipment and people to different destinations. The air crackles with tension and anticipation. The Rebels know how much is at stake for them and the galaxy, and they focus their efforts on being ready for the battle ahead.

Take your figure and find the date stamp on it (look on the back of the thighs, bottom of the feet etc...)
If you can't find a year printed on the figure check if it has a 5 digit number printed on it, enter it below and we'll pull up all the figures in the database which has the same number.
