  • Disney utilized its "Build-A-Droid" mold for this droid - which means it can be taken apart and the feet don't have any cables on them
  • The "M4" in R5-M4 stands for "May 4th"
  • R5-M4 was painted in the "May The 4th" black/yellow paint scheme
  • The droid was never seen in any of the movies - but according to the packaging text R5-M4 lived on Mustafar and helped with mining operations
