This animated-style Anakin Skywalker with Naboo Star Skiff was released in the Clone Wars Deluxe line in July 2010. The very same vehicle was later re-released in 2012's Movie Heroes line, together with an Obi-Wan Kenobi action figure. The figure is based on the episode titled "Senate Spy" from the second season of the Clone Wars TV show.
The figure has 10 joints, lacking articulated knees and ankles. The neck, shoulders, and elbows are ball-jointed, and the forearms, waist and legs are swivel jointed. Despite the lack of adjustable knees and ankles, Anakin stands quite well on his own. Hasbro included two accessories (besides the stand, die and battle game card) with the figure, a blue lightsaber, and a removable Naboo pilot helmet. The saber is a great fit for either of the Jedi's hands. The helmet is a tight fit and looks pretty bulky. It also sits a little to the side, but with patience it's possible to make it look good on Anakin's head.
The paint job on Anakin as a Naboo pilot looks simple, but correct, including Anakin's facial scar. The figure's mold is not super articulated, but it looks aesthetically very nice. Best of all, it fits very nicely into the cockpit of the included Naboo Star Skiff. All in all, Anakin as Naboo pilot is a well done figure and unique enough to warrant a purchase. However, the real highlight in this set is the Naboo Star Skiff, which looks great, and will make a nice addition to any Naboo inspired display.
Anakin disguises himself as a Naboo pilot to escort Padme on a mission. He conceals his identity while secretly guarding the senator, who takes on the dangerious assignment of spying on a colleague. Sleek and elegant, the Naboo star skiff is covered in gleaming chromium and armed with blaster cannons to discourage threatening encounters.
